About the Role:
Banton Elevator LLC is looking for a skilled Elevator Mechanic to join our team in the tri-state area! This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of elevator systems, keeping buildings moving safely and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair elevator and lift systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic and traction elevator systems
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions and implement effective repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Ensure all work complies with NYC elevator codes, safety regulations, and ASME A17.1 standards
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed
Requirements:
- Valid NYC Elevator Mechanic License
- Experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of elevator systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- OSHA Card required
- Clean Driver's License
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Monday through Friday position (From 8:00 am to 4:30 pm), and overtime hours are required weekly
